Kate and Nate had an absolute dream wedding! They first met as undergrads at Amherst College in Massachusetts. After being introduced at Amherst’s orientation by a mutual friend they felt an instant connection. They were friends first and their relationship blossomed from there until they were practically inseparable by the end of their sophomore year. After graduating from Amherst, both Kate and Nate went on to medical school. This began a difficult season for the couple who had to endure 4 years of long distance as Kate was in Philadelphia and Nate was in Boston. Through that distance they always found each other. Both Kate and Nate love racquet sports which was incorporated into their wedding day. Kate plays tennis, squash, and paddle tennis. Nate plays all of those as well but his favorite sport is golf. They love being active together in their free time and keeping their relationship a priority. All of this history played a huge part in their wedding day. It was obvious how ready they were to be starting their lives together.
Kate got ready at the beautiful Logan Hotel in downtown Philadelphia. After slipping into her Marchesa gown, she opened a personal letter and gift from Nate. The emotions that sprung forth were truly beautiful. She was so ready to be his wife. After putting on the final touches, we headed over to the Rodin Museum for their First Look. Kate and Nate were all smiles when they saw each other for the first time. Today was the day! After enjoying the gardens they continued to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to have a celebratory toast before their ceremony!
Their ceremony was a beautiful celebration of their relationship put together by Alisa Tongg, Celebrant. It included a beautiful hand-fasting ceremony and the Jewish tradition of breaking a glass! They were welcomed into married life by a confetti shower from their guests! After a delicious cocktail hour provided by the wonderful Cescaphe staff, they enjoyed their reception under the twinkling lights of the beautiful tent outfitted by Shannon Wellington Weddings, Fresh Designs Florist and White Glove Rentals. Enjoy checking out this beautiful day and congrats to Kate and Nate!!!
