We met up with Kaitlin and Colby for a sunrise session in Washington DC. The warm summer air felt amazing and these two were so cozy with each other all throughout. Kaitlin and Colby are planning their wedding for next year up in State College, PA. These two met as undergrads at Penn State at Bill Pickles Tap Room (the site of country night!). Kaitlin remembers that she first saw Colby and thought he was very cute! She was too shy to say hi so, as good friends do, her friend went up and got Colby’s number for her. As they say, the rest is history. These two were inseparable.
Their proposal story is just as adorable and hits all of the classic Penn State hot spots! Colby made dinner reservations at The Tavern and after dinner they went back to where it all started- Pickles. Kaitlin, who was unaware of Colby’s plan that night, says they ordered a few drinks and a shot! Nothing wrong with that! Colby then took Kaitlin on a walk through campus right to Old Main and proposed to her on the top step. It’s honestly the dream Penn State proposal. These two are sweet as can be and I am already so so exited to capture their wedding next year at Penn State’s Arboretum and the Nittany Lion Inn! They have so much history in State College and it only seems fitting that it is where they will become husband and wife.
