Sometimes, as a wedding photographer, you meet couples that just compliment each so well that it’s hard to imagine them without the other. Erin and Matt are that kind of couple. They are so kind and they just make sense. I had the absolute joy of photographing their wedding this fall at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, DE. The entire day was calm and beautiful and it really was wonderful to be with them!
Greenville Country Club Wedding
I absolutely adored the details for Erin and Matt’s wedding day. When I walked into Erin’s suite, I was greeted by gorgeous bright flowers and a lovely custom invitation suite. I’m still not over the beautiful map of Wilmington they included in their invites! It was stunning – and so special. One of my favorite details that Erin added to their day was a “photo card” in the invitation suite that she included for certain family members that were needed after the ceremony for photos. BEST IDEA!!
Erin and Matt opted to not do a first look, so they prepared with their friends and family before meeting at the church for their ceremony. After their ceremony, we headed back to Greenville Country Club for their portraits and reception. One of the moments I captured on the way back of Erin and Matthew really stood out to me. They were just enjoying a second together to take in the fact that they were married, admiring their rings. It was such a quiet and candid time together. I hope they’ll treasure that image forever!
Fairytale Wedding Reception
The grounds at Greenville Country Club were amazing. I loved all of the gardens and the building! It’s so beautiful – it looks like something out of a fairytale. And we had the perfect day to explore it all – calm for us. Erin and Matthew were just as excited to explore the grounds as I was! We took our time and enjoyed the fall sunset on the lawn, too, before heading into their reception. Erin and Matthew had a fun, bright color palette with pinks and oranges that brightened the space inside – and their reception even spilled out onto the patio. I loved that their event was both in and outdoors. Such a great use of the space!
